Electric Duffy boat rentals on Newport Harbor, launching from Balboa Island. Everything you need to know before you arrive.
SECTION 1 — BOOKING & RESERVATIONS
We offer 90-minute (in the morning only), 2-hour, and longer luxury electric Duffy boat rentals in Newport Beach. Rental availability varies by season and day of the week. Visit our online booking calendar for current departure times and pricing.
Reservations canceled 48 hours or more before departure receive company credit for a future reservation. We do not offer cash refunds. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the reservation are charged in full and are not eligible for credit.
No deposit is required. All Newport Beach Duffy boat rentals are prepaid at the time of booking. A cleaning fee of $100 or more may apply for smoking, swimming (wet seats), or excessive mess.
The designated driver must present a valid government-issued driver’s license and the credit card used for the reservation. An electronic waiver is emailed with your booking confirmation and must be completed before arriving at our dock.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time for parking, check-in, waiver verification, and boarding. Late arrivals do not extend your rental time. Boats returned late are subject to a $50 fee for every 15 minutes past the scheduled return time.
SECTION 2 — THE BOATS
Our luxury 12-passenger electric Duffy boats comfortably seat up to 10 adults, with room for a maximum of 12 passengers including children. Our 8-passenger boats comfortably accommodate 6 to 8 guests. All passengers, regardless of age, count toward the boat’s maximum capacity.
Yes. Every Duffy boat includes a Bluetooth stereo, allowing you to stream music directly from your phone during your Newport Harbor cruise.
Yes. U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are provided for every passenger at no additional charge. California law requires children 12 years and younger to wear a life jacket while the boat is underway. Adult life jackets are stored onboard.
Weather-related cancellations
If Voyagers Rentals determines that weather or harbor conditions are unsafe due to heavy rain, high winds, storms, dense fog, or other hazardous conditions, we may cancel your reservation for everyone’s safety.
Guests will receive company credit only, valid for a future reservation. Company credits never expire and may be used to rebook at any time, subject to availability.
If the weather is safe for boating, rentals operate as scheduled. Light rain, overcast skies, or cooler temperatures do not qualify for cancellation or credit.
No cash refunds. No exceptions.
SECTION 3 — RULES & REQUIREMENTS
No boating license is required. The driver must be 21 years or older, possess a valid driver’s license, and remain completely sober while operating the boat. Boating under the influence is illegal and treated similarly to driving under the influence.
Yes. Please arrive 15 minutes early if you plan to decorate. Decorations are welcome, but candles, confetti, glitter, Mylar balloons, balloon releases, and smoke devices are prohibited. Decorations must be removed at the end of your rental. Excessive cleanup may result in a cleaning fee.
Only trained service animals assisting a person with a disability are permitted onboard. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.
Absolutely. Guests are welcome to bring their own food, snacks, soft drinks, and beverages. Coolers are encouraged. Every boat includes a trash can. Passengers who are 21 years or older may consume alcoholic beverages; however, the designated driver may not drink alcohol.
Outside vendors, including decorators, caterers, photographers, musicians, and other service providers, must contact Voyagers Rentals at least 24 hours before your reservation. Vendor approval is required, and service fees may apply.

We are conveniently located next to the Balboa Island Ferry, providing easy access to Newport Harbor and the surrounding waterfront.
Free street parking and nearby public parking are available throughout Balboa Island. Because parking can fill quickly on weekends, holidays, and during summer, we recommend arriving 20 to 30 minutes early.
Yes. Public restrooms are located just steps from our dock. Additional public restrooms are available throughout Newport Harbor and are marked on the harbor map provided before departure.
